Cheers mate, will get some of this on order..

Quick update: I've used some insulation tape to hold the offending heatsinks on as suggested as a temporary measure earlier in the thread, then one of the RAM heatsinks fell off! I've taped them all on loosely which is holding them in place as I wanted to see if the cooler would actually do the job before I invest any more in it; it's not. With the heatsinks held in place the PC is still bailing out (not losing power entirely but no error message or BSOD, just black screen) after a few minutes of gaming and, on one occasion, when idle.

I read somewhere that the thermal conductivity of the G-1 can be compromised if it doesn't take, so I think I'll still give the tape a go, but I'm worried this thing just isn't going to work.. frown.gif
