Need help with my OCZ 2GB PC-3200 Platinum RAM.

Thread Starter
Hi,

This is my first post...
I currently run an Intel 3.2Ghz (Northwood) on an ASUS P4S800D-X mobo with 2 x 1GB PC-3200 OCZ platinum ram with advertised timings of 2-3-2-5
My question is what do i do to get the most of my ram.
I am new to overclocking and do not want to oc my cpu right now.
In the bios it says the CPU is running at 3.2 with an FSB of 800Mhz. So what do i set the memory clock and timings to? any advice would be greatly appreciated..

Check out this faq:

http://www.overclock.net/overclock.p...uide-intel.htm

It covers overclocking your FSB, which can be used to overclock the CPU. However, knowing your FSB limits is important for knowing how to optimize your RAM timings (the better the latencies, the lower the FSB the RAM can support). Even though you don't want to OC your CPU yet, you have to look at the whole picture (FSB limitations of RAM, mobo, and CPU, as well as multipliers) in order to change anything.

Good luck!
