I'll check it when I get home. When I last checked, it was about 60% and it looked like it was running consistantly at 25min/percent. You have a good idea about cleaning out the work directory. Actually since Feisty Fawn was released, I'm going to upgrade this weekend from the Feisty beta. I'm going to reformat the drive before I install it, so I'll also have a fresh SMP client install.

I actually clocked down a little too: my processor was going as high as 53C... though I haven't been the dedicated folder I could be.

In any case, Zang! is going VERY well it seems, or the competition is slacking :-)

I was down for a couple days trying to get my sound card working...turns out one of the pci slots isn't functioning properly. It's more than 2 years old so I guess i'll have to live with it. But yeah, i'm back up and running now.

Another 2609? Oh well..... I think it takes the same time for me as the 2605 and 2604, but, less points. I can't really tell because i turned it off while playing cs-source last night. Maybe i'll just run my cpu at 3.6 or 3.7 untill i get back on better projects; i noticed my cpu runs 3c cooler on project 2609 and uses a little more memory.

I've been trying to fold but I've been having a hard time connecting to the assignment server... I read something about some servers being down @ Stanford though...

I'll keep trying.

Lol, oops, it was my new firewall that was blocking it for some reason. Made an exception and am connected to the work server.

Well I'm finally back up and running. Sorry for the delay, I ran into problems with the Ubuntu feisty install. My system doesn't seem to like the install CD, for some reason my best luck is installing from the DVD. So I downloaded the CD, then tried installing it with no luck. So I then downloaded the DVD, which took forever (4gb) and had to find time between homework and work to install it again. Hopefully I can keep it going full speed nonstop for a while like I had it before.

Man, I am having the worst luck. Last night while I was typing up the answers to an assignment for class, openoffice locked up and F@H shut down. I was typing the answer to the last question!! I'm so pissed. On top of that, when I restarted ubuntu, I got the error 17 when loading grub. So I lost my homework and a p2605 that was somewhere around 90% done. I couldn't get the ubuntu DVD to boot, so I reformated and trying another fresh install. Unfortunately, I won't be able to get F@H going again until after work.

EDIT: Up and running now. Hopefully it will last long enough that I can complete a WU this time.
