I wouldn't say I'm spitting them out nicely....damn p2608's and 09's. They take twice the time to complete...and aren't worth as much as a p2605.

I miss getting p2604's and 05's all week long.

Mahtareika, what is your average time/% for the 2608's and 09's?

On a positive note, kubuntu is running stable for the time being.

The 2609's that i've been on (for the last 4 FLIPPIN DAYS!!!) get done in the same amount of time(or within 40 minutes of each other), use less CPU and more RAM than our favorate 2604 and 2605's.

Average= 18 to 24 hours per WU

I don't have a very good average to give you because of my gaming. Usualy when i game i'll pause F@A and turn off my multiple displays for better FPS, but, i am really speratic as to when and how much i game.

Hmmm...I wonder what is causing my performance to be cut in half. You mentioned that they use more ram than the 04's and 05's. That could be my problem, as I'm only running 1 gig in single channel.

As you may have already noticed, I've pretty much ceased all my folding activities... I will get back to it one day, but right now I'm just not up to it... it's nice to have a cool, quiet room instead of a very hot, noisy one.

I have to re-seat my heatsink... I'm currently @ 1.4GHz on my E6300 and have 40 degrees idle (42 load )

Anyway, just thought I'd go ahead and suggest that you look for a new, reliable member. It's not fair of me for the slot to be un-used.

I'm around the forums frequently, just will be less so in the F@H forum.

Cheers for now,

Jimmy

vanilla_eitz,

Are you running Linux native or through VMware?

Jimmy2Shoe,

Thanks for the heads up.

Hmm... I'm using VMware with less ram than that. I don't know why your rig wouldn't fold faster.

Maybe it's because my e4300 only has 2mb cache.
