I fix PS3s and Xboxs for spare change on Craigslist. If you sent it to Sony and pay the $150, they'll tell you they might fix it, but I know from experience that they'll end up sending you a new slim. So if you went that route, you would have a new slim for half the price.
jeez, im glad i finally got a great piece of advice on that. ive been trying to figure out what to do with it for a long time, and now that i know its dead, time to mourn.

i really liked the backwards compatibility, but it seems ill be getting a slim soon *Cries*

Edit: Dinet: The reason i bought it originally, is because when i have cousins over to visit, they just sit on that and are entertained so easily, so thats A++. Until, they outgrew it... Time to save the wii until i start the babymaker.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 is truly one of the best games ever made. It is video gaming bliss............. the gameplay and the presentation are absolutely flawless. The level design is extremely creative..

It is video gaming at its purest and sweetest form.......One of those games you need in your collection. I think it will go down as one of the greats (Mario 64, Zelda Ocarina of Time, etc) I give it a 10/10

I have got a suggestion if u don't mind. Firstly I own a Wii myself and i have changed the casing of it and installed some LED. But now I don't use it much now as I use my PC primary for gaming but sometimes i take advantage of my wii remote and use it as a controller for gaming if you wish to do that u download a software called 'GlovePie' it a program that allows u to program any button on ur wiimote and nunchuck or u could also use it as a wireless mouse like u do on a wii. The best part is that u could use it for fps games but this will require ur sensor bar that u can either connect it to ur wii to power it up or make ur own sensor bar. There are lots of things u could do, for example use it as a smartboard.

u could get GlovePie here http://glovepie.org/glovepie_download.php

also if u're interested u could check out this youtube channel for many things u could do with it including the multitouch smartboard etc.

btw u need a bluetooth adapter to connect ur wiimote to ur PC

hope it helps
