wow this is strange every headset/mic i talk on the interent is clear with my voice JUST THIS STUPID BUZZING NOISE IN BACKGROUND i can hear it myself when i play it back its clear just buzzing noise is this caused by some type of EMI?? i only have the monitor CRT near my tower but no fans near it also its not the mic cuz every mic has same buzzing and this ones clear i think its my onboard sound ? i dont wanna buy a sound card but if my new pc this still happen by buying a sound card ittl help? does mic quality sound better with pci card vs onboard?

Check your mic settings, thats what happend to mine. also, whatever game your playing, check the speech on it if its on maximum volume, because it shouldnt, and that would explain your problem. i had a similar problem with my mic in CS, but i fixed it by using the brands software to fix the mic. =)

Could be the sound card, or the way your mic is plugged in. Also check your sound options. Also I have heard of some mics getting messed up from even speakers near by (true or not IDK). How is your desk set up? Try the mics on your other computers. My friend has a similar problem on his laptop.

Wow, hmm kinda wierd. Then I am going to have to say that it is your mic settings somewhere (either in game or sound manager)

I'm an audio engineer and we get similar problems. Ours is due to bass hum interference. Caused when to many objects are plugged into the same adapter or connected to each other. We would remove a couple of fuses. Not sure how relevant this is to computer mics but could be along the same line.
Hope it is relevant or i'm looking like a ****.

go to mic properties and turn off the mic boost and turn up or down the volume or visa versa turn it on and turn down the volume. hum can be caused buy many things including emi

WOW *** when i play half life 2 online i speak through my headset. It sounds way clearer and I can hear my voice over the very low buzzing. Maybe its just that half-life game picks up more buzzing then half-life 2? I dont know whats the cause of this buzzing but when i turn my headset all the way up i can hear the buzzing when im doing nothing but when i hear sound I only hear the sound not the buzzing maybe bad onboard sound could be the culprit>
