SiSoftware Sandra Lite 2005 Benchmark *Single Core* Thread

Thread Starter
I know that Sandra Lite does not get that much attention anymore, but it still is a stat on our system specs. I was just curious what others are getting out there, in particular the Athlon 64's compared to the Opterons.

The idea that Opterons have a slower memory controller then lets say the San Diego cores has been thrown around lately. From what I have seen in my benchmarking I find this unlikely. I would like to compare Sandra scores so we have a more concrete answer to back the ideas and speculation.

I want to keep this informal. I just want numbers with images to back them up. No need to stick out your tongue, scratch your knee and pinch you nipple while posting.

Here's the Sandra Lite 2005 benchmarks I would like data on:

1) CPU Arithmetic Benchmark; and
2) CPU Multimedia Benchmark; and last but not least
3) Memory Bandwidth Benchmark.

Throw your stats up in the title like this:
DFI Lanparty Ultra-D / Opteron 146 @ 2872MHz / 2-2-2-6 @ 133MHz / Zalman 7700-CU

There are other benchmarks for Sandra, but frankly none I care about. Hopefully we can do our part to put this arguement to rest.

LONG LIVE THE OPTERON! (What? I am unbiased! Really! Fine, don't believe me, see if I care!)

Here are my SiSoftware Sandra Lite 2005 scores.

1) 12872 MIPS - 5817 MFLOPS
2) 27064 it/s - 29120 it/s
3) 7043 MB/s - 6963 MB/s

Sidenote: It would be interesting to see Dual Core Athlon X2's compared to Dual Core Opterons too. Just an idea if any of you dual core peeps are interested.

Is there no one out there that is interested in this? Are my numbers too intimidating for you 3700+ people out there?

Seriously, this could be a very useful analysis. It could end some debate, answer some questions, and offer a useful reference guide for those considering a single core AMD.

Hope this little prod will envoke some interest in this subject.
