Deus Ex

I loved the game when it came out back in 2000. I haven't played it since and am fondly remembering the great times I had when I did play. When I return to the states this May I'd like to seek out a copy and get back to my roots where I first experienced multiplayer in a game. I was wondering if anyone still played and if so how big of a following it has.

I'm not sure how many here have played the game. I've played it back when I owned a Mac and it was a pretty decent game (it would have been better if my iMac was a little more powerful). When you get back from your TDY I'd look into Oblivion.

Some of the guys in my old shop went out to Kyrg for TCN duty about a year ago as well. Sadly they said it sucked.

I've discovered a few fans of the game who still play, and thanks to it being an old game, several decent looking mods are out there. I really did love that game and to me most games really haven't caught me the way it did. Believe me I plan to pick up Oblivion when I get back haha. I get 14 days of recon to make up for missed drinking, gaming, and fornication. I know the first 4 days I probably won't leave my apartment haha. Wonder if I can get hooked up to an IV?

Deus Ex = Best game ever.

Try out the sequel, Deus Ex: Invisible War. Not as good gameplay as the original, but better graphics.

Yeah, Deus Ex rocked. I think it kind of lost its following after Invisible War though, because that really was a disappointment in comparison to the original.

You should also try System Shock 2 if you haven't already. Very similar gameplay.

I like deus ex, got the free game of the year edition from one of the gaming magazines but never finished it. I may just reinstall it and start over.

I feel that this is probably my favorite all time game. I played Invisible War but felt let down, sure it had better graphics, but it just wasn't the same. Once I get back home to the states in May and locate a copy I'll be sure to post my sn if anyone feels like playin some multiplayer. Haven't played System Shock 2. I'll have to pick that up, also looking forward to playing Oblivion.

Deux Ex is a great game, but Invisible War is just a pure shame, they transformed the fantastic gameplay with RPG elements and transformed it into a crappy FPS, shame. Only the story make the 2nd worth the play
