March Folding@Home prize winners!

Thread Starter
im under the inpression that unless we can make 100,000 points a month we will never get a top folder spot unless pick for the random prize? maybe you could make it so once you win you cant win again for a year or something.

Hi Remy,

I would have to agree... Qmopar, Jrabb et all, have helped team 37726 gain it's proper place in the world, but their folding prowess is iconic!
Perhaps as you state maybe 2 or 3 "random" winners would hit the spot for the rest of us... then again maybe not.

Fold on!

The team folding competition is the answer to your problems. Since each person is limited to a maximum of 3 CPUs, the power folders are not eligible.

Hi Taeric,

I guess that will have to do! I can't believe that Folders INC finished just 60 points behind the MHz Masters. Maybe this month. I added a 3rd rig so our team now has 8 total... This should be good.

BTW - Thanks again for getting me into folding. :-)

Hi Wannabe OC,

Welcome to Overclock.net and Congrats on coming over to folding! Make sure you introduce yourself here: http://www.overclock.net/new-members/

As for folding. Taeric started me thinking and then my daughter in Med school filled in more of the blanks. Stanford's web site has even more info. I've been really glad to be part of this team's (37726) efforts for the past two months.

I hope you find the same enjoyment here and in folding, :-)

Plus, folding really makes you evaluate the ballance of OCing, heat, power and other system performance.. heh. My new main hobby now is trying to figure out how to squeeze more work out of each core (Which, since I inadvertently keep blowing away WUs, often runs contrary to my goal, but I am getting there.. )
