420watt psu with 7900gtx?

will a 420watt PSU be able to run a pentium D 920, 2gb ddr2 667 ram, 160gb hard drive, dvd burner, sound card, and the 7900GTX?

hmmm should do but it all depends on the 12v rails, bu seriously man you have quite a powerful system, i would still advise upgrading the psu

I think I would go for a 450 or above quality psu.

i would be using the psu that comes with the aspire x qpack, and i want a power supplie that can handle the card, but i also want to get a chea psu that has sleeved cables

wow, i went to tha site and put in all my info for power usage and it said the recomended is 423watts

PSUs that come with cases are usually garbage. I'd seriously look for a better one. If it's a 420 from the factory it'll probably be a 15-16A 12v rail.

I would either buy a quality 450 watt + PSU or get an insurance policy for that pc. You will need one of the two.

The Sunbeam NUUO would be a good choice for you. Case PSUs are usually crap, and could blow up if to much stress is put on them.
