Headphones: http://www.bose.com/controller?event...adphones_index
Phase Change: http://www.frozencpu.com/cas-194.html
Make sure you get a decent UPS: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16842102042
And I would wait for nVidia to re-stock the 7900 series...

Right hybridpyro!

On Phase-Change the 955XE are doing well above the 5.5ghz range, at that speed nothing can scape. An FX60@2.9ghz is equal to a 955XE @ 4.37ghz, well except in Adobe and DVDshrink.

***Edit***

I think CrossFire is better than SLI, that's why nVidia is now throwing the Quad-SLI ball, because CrossFire being so young and tender is close and in some instances better than SLI in terms of performance and even so, a nice X1900XTX will be much better than a GeForce 7900GTX, IMO. And for my Conroe set-up, I'm definitely going to get an ATI card.
I realize that the FX60 is at the end of the 90nm life, and therefore it can not overclock very well, but the reason I suggested the FX60 is for the quad SLI, not the fact that it is the most powerful compute option.

965EE Presler
Asus P5WD2-W Premium
2x X1950XTX (im sure they'll be out any day now, they were announced this week but that could have been an April fools joke, they are 80nm so they will be very cool running = high overclocks )
4/8GB DDR2 800

etc.
Hehe I've been around lol... I've been really busy lately with girls and xbox live and school...

The best I see for $5000 on a strict computer without input devices (including monitor, keyboard, mouse) is around:
FX-60
4GB RAM
7900GTX 512 x2
500GB HDD on SATA 3Gb/s

If you are getting it during summer get this:

Conroe E6700 2.66Ghz 4mb L2 1066 FSB (XE edition will not yet be released)
2x 1GB G.Skill or OCZ DDR2-1000
G71 if it is out, if not go for SLI 7900GX2.

how is this a statement FOR plasma? Plasma is already almost obsolete, DLP is the newest thing.

Doesn't plasma still have "tails" from fast moving objects or did they fix that?

If you have 10,000 just for monitors, get a DLP TV and then your LCD 20" monitors.

Good to see that your priorities are in order, although I might suggest switching around Xbox live and School.
