7800GT CO + 7800GT for sli?

alright, I got this card http://www.pricegrabber.com/p__eVGA_...ard,__12596594 and they dont ave it anywhere but there and theres this card http://www.pricegrabber.com/p__eVGA_...ard,__10785053 that is only different by 20mhz and no copper heatsink... will that work?

yes but i removed it because i put in a nvsilencer rev 3

so will it matter if i get the other one?

no, you can run any 7800GT with any other 7800GT. They can be different brands, have different clock speeds and even have different amounts of RAM. the catch is... both cards will run with the slower clock speeds and the lesser amount of RAM (which isn't really an issue for 7800GT cards)

You will need to use newer drivers as the older drivers require the same exact cards (even down to the same BIOS sometimes... although even from the beginning I ran 2 6600GT's w/ different BIOS and never had a problem...) but as long as both cards are 7800GT's and you use new drivers you should be fine. You may even be able to manually oc your cards to run at the CO speeds. You will have to individually check your new card to make sure it can run at those clock speeds though.
