These price breaks..Are you certain Intel is halving the prices on 9xx series? I might go for a 950 and try and break the 5ghz barrier if thats the case.
Yes, Intel is having the price cuts. If you go intel, you best bet is a ATI CrossFire setup, or just a single 7900GTX. You can do SLI with Intel, but your overclocks will not be as good. Even so, your overclocks won't be bad. And if you have a Conroe, it really doesn't matter because it will be faster than an overclocked AMD, and cost less.

Here is the best Intel SLI board:

I like ASUS alot, but I really like ABIT. Has ABIT kept up their OC abilities like in the past?

Whats a nice crossfire setup? Im willing to go ~200-250 a card.

ASUS makes the best Intel motherboards. If you want to go for a CrossFire setup, get he P5WD2-E Premium. It is the flagship Intel motheboard. Your overclockability is endless.

Here is the video card you want. Just get one of these, as it will be powerful enough to play anything maxed out. Then you can always go CrossFire in the future:

Are you refering to the newegg.com review? That is not true. There are no RAID issues with the ASUS board.

Most newegg.com reviews should be taken with a grain of salt. The BIOS features in the P5WD2-E are very advanced, and can seem confusing. The most confusing part of all is the SATA and RAID setup. But, by carefully reading the manual anyone can figure it out!
