Memtest errors, help please!

Thread Starter
My comp has been crashing irregularly lately. I finally gave up and reformatted windows completely. Well it is still doing it. So I ran memtest as somebody recommended I do, and I am getting tons of errors.

A couple are:

"error found with pair 5967879"

"values 3848246027 and 3848246077 do not match. see hcidesign/memtest for advice on what to do next"

Any ideas? I just bought these 4 x 512 mondules from Crucial direclty and cant see them being defective.

Any ideas?

Why would you say you "can't see them being defective"?? Unless you are undervolting or overtightening their timings, they are most certainly defective (maybe just 1 or 2 of them is)

I just didnt see them as defective since I have never adjusted the timings or overclocked them. Thats all.

How much should i up the vdimm?

When I run memtest should I enter 512 to test the stick or just run with the defaul "all unused ram" in the test field?
