For a piston door circuit, what is the best logic gate to use? I have an OR set up right now, but it's easy to "lock" it so that someone else can't get in through the other side, or you have to go around some other way to flip it if you somehow get to the other side. In plain english, you turn the circuit off to open the doors, and turn it back on from the other side to close. If you turn the circuit on from the other side of the door when it's "locked," of course it does nothing.
Thought about an XOR, but that's just the inverse switch position of what it's doing now, eh? Should I just set it up to be timed?
Sorry if the answer is stupid easy, it's late and I'm not really thinking straight anymore

Setup an RS Nor Latch with your OR gate. I have several double door setups in the way you want them. I'd be able to give better instructions if I was at my computer :/
basically, the OR gate will say that if one input is on, the door opens. If both are on, the door opens. If both are off, the door closes. The latch makes it work so that you can do the reverse action. It remembers the circuit, basically.
I haven't worked with redstone in over two months, can you tell?

I was looking at RSNORs or XORs, because I was stupid last night and didn't realize how an XOR would at least be better than my current setup Or was that a NOR? I haven't done much with logic circuits, can you tell?

E: It was an XOR I was thinking about when I woke up, duh

Do you have anything set up in Zant's server which you've been avoiding for a while, too?

That says you can only host 13 because of your upload. I don't know how accurate that is (probably not very, if you did 25 on your last computer) but I would guess this is more of a worst case scenario thing to keep everyone always running smooth.
