You start by immediately finding resources and building a home. There are some Creative and Survival servers out there. I think several OCN members have their own servers as well. I host a LAN server for me and my roommate.

I have some people on youtube telling me that minecraft runs on java so it only runs off a cpu and ram. Telling me how a gpu will not make any difference and how if a GTX670 is getting 88% gpu usage in the game, something is horribly wrong with my computer....

I know a some java games are more CPU intensive than GPU, but Minecraft definitely does up my GPU usage as well, especially when I am rendering far view distances.

Yeah, he was so mad at me, I think I talked some sense into him. He thought his 20% gpu reading was core speed, but I proved to him that it was actually just the amount of vram he was using so he stopped flaming me.
