A single one of my OCed 460s is noticeably, but not dramatically, slower than my OCed 5850.

It's between the 460 or 5850. Depending on how much more the 5850 is, I'd say get the 5850. If it's more than a $20 difference between the two, then the 460.

Performance: 5770 < 465 ~= 5830 ~= 460 < 5850

Price: 5770 < 465 ~= 5830 ~= 460 < 5850

Value: 5830 ~= 465 < 5850 < 5770 < 460

I would never buy a 465 or a 5830, they're just cardtarded 480s and 5870s so their power/performance and heat/performance are through the roof.

1680 x 1050 = 5770

1920 x 1080 = 460

> 1920 x 1080 = 5850

Strictly IMO.

Do any of the games you play use Phys X?
I build around 10 custom systems a month
and have used quite a few diff kinds off 5850
its a great card just not worth the money vs. performance
over the HAWK or Cyclone 460 at this time .
Also I game on a 1080p and your sig says 17" monitor the extra money you save could get you a 22 1080p practically!

And I agree 100 % with Darkwaffle

Most people are acknowledging the fact that the 5850 is faster than the other ones, not that it's better.

The 5850 is not as good a deal as a GTX 460.
