Kilocore chip - A thousand processors on one chip

Thread Starter
IBM are developing a new form of CPUs (named the 'Kilocore chip').
Each chip will have 1,024 processors running at 125 MHz and handling 8 bits of data.
They expect it to be 50 times more efficient than the current processors as it will use less than a tenth the power of today's chips:

Seems odd that it would use less power, wimpy as each individual core is.

AMD has 900mhz chips that use like 2.5W's.. So with the clock speed deducation, and the power and resources IBM has I beleive its very possible.
