BF2 and CS:S crazyness

ok well i have been playing CS:S and BF2 for ages now and i had to formatt my computer the other day for some reason or another but now when i try to play either game it goes completly c**p, well basically when i join a server in say BF2 i will be able to play out the current game (usually only half of a game) but after thats over and the sever starte to load new map it coes really bad after i enter. i will spawn but i will get about 3 seconds of movement and it will freeze for lil bit, then another 3 secs of movement and so on and so on?? i also had a few mates in the same server as me and they said it was running fine for them so it couldnt of been LAG could it?
Can any one tell me why this is happening?

also after the formatt i installed the 6.3 drivers for ATI catilist and the problem started from there, also i just tried the omega drivers (6.3 clone) and no luck there either? could it be the 6.3 drivers doing this? i have all the patches on BF2 and all up to date (1.21) any one else having this problem or is there a stupid thing that im missing here?

i have only had the chance to play 1 other game after the formatt and it was UT2003 and it was runing fine if not better than befor as it was a clean fresh computer to run it.

hmm well on my old hdd its fine on the game and im also useing the drivers that came on the CD with my G card, if i was you i would try using the drivers that came with card and try to completly uninstall and reinstall BF2, you seem to be having different problem to me, i would be able to play for about 10 mins then it would start to freeze every few seconds but never crash into windows

You should have those anyways...it helps with ALOT of things and performs a lot better.

Good luck.

ahh ok well thanks for the help, but may i ask why would it be the dual core if it will still work on my paralel hdd? and i had been using some program called launcher which aloud me to run programs on only one core. Eg. UT2003 and alike that, as summin to do with them not liking 2cores, get the wierd errors at the satrt off the game, will those drivers sort that out so i wont need the launcher thing?
