remember our lesson franken, faster bus has meant faster production from our experience. But go for it if you think it will do anything. I'm contimplating trying to go faster than ddr2 1000 again maybe go back to ddr2 1100

EDIT: WOOT running 0:9:30 / tick! That's pretty damn good. Considering how cheap 1GB of 1200 RAM is... I think I have a winner.

Hey Cowboy,

What about selling your ram and getting some like Franken bought? 9-1/2 minutes is almost Quad speed, (I think they are getting ~7 min on air). I may consider getting some myself. Pushing DDR2-800 past 1000MHz makes me nervous.

well I doubt that I'd get enough $$ out of my current ram for me to get some good ddr-1200 (2gb) I need 2gb of ram my folding machine isn't just my folding machine it's my gaming rig and everything else in between... I'll look into it though.

Makes sense to me. In that case, just be careful.

Toobadd, did I maybe miss a post by you? I thought that you said a couple weeks ago the SMP folding rig was going to be running?

She sounds like a keeper to me! It will be a nice change from your old rig and better points. Are you going to use Linux SMP or WinSMP? It's good timing really, the month just started.

The new one is a
water cooled 745 big water
P5B board
E6400
1gb cheaper ram (first upgrade when i get time)
Running Linux SMP

and it will be only folding nothing else loaded I'll be using the computer I have now for everyday stuff like its been doing. no time to reload everything and it works great for what i do at home.
so if i get my butt in gear well be the first team to break the 200k mark without a problem
