Yes, anytime Buick. Although I think of it more as a marathon run (26 miles - 30 days - close enough). As the finish line comes into view and the rest of the team running beside you look back to see how close the next team is.

I think Franken has been playing too many games lately, oh wait...I think I remember that one!

Oh yeah, we just get our rigs going full speed and now you're worried about your bill?

You have all the numbers to the equation except for the steppings? That would be easy to get and finish the math. Now if you just want a month off to play, that would be understandable.

$75 a month does seem really steep, especially since we are donating to a worthy cause. There has to be a way to deduct it off our taxes. I have rigs 3 running 24/7 right now (Soon to be 10 cores +/-) and my bill didn't jump half that amount. Guess that's the price you pay to live in Disneyland.
Eh, your missing the point. It's not the 75$ it's the price tiering those 300KW/hours are putting me into. It turns out to be more like 150$ a month.

I know how you feel, well sorta. I still have one X2-3800 folding WinSMP and my Conroe outfolds it 3 to 1. I see you've gained like 6 places as well.

I understand and that really bites. Does W/C use up much power? I don't know how much the pump and fans draw but every KW counts if you have to cut back. Would a lower OC make much of a diff? Just hard to believe electricity would ever cost that much, or even gasoline for that matter.

Bad news. The rig crashed overnight. When I brought Ubuntu back up it failed the FSCK. I don't know how to fix a corrupted IFS drive. Anyone?

Ok, seeing as I'm on my own with this folding crap...like everyone else...I did a bunch of random stuff (unloaded unnecessary apps, ran FSCK manually on UBUNTU, blah blah)...it's running again. only lost a day. I think my old WiFi adapter drivers conflicted with my new ones because they were from the same manufacturer.

HAHAHA!!!! So, anyway...minutes after my last post...my PC crashes HARD. NOTHING will get it to boot. Not even a CMOS reset. Replacing the Kingston HyperX with the Crucial Ballistix DOES however.

Yes, I've lost YET another set of RAM modules.

F*** Cowboy...how many sets does that make? I've lost count. The RAM manufacturers have S*** for QA. I've NEVER OC'd my RAM. I've always believed I should never OC RAM because it was too sensitive to overclocking and I'm too stupid to mess with it.

Folding appears to be the ultimate RAM burn in. If a module can withstand 30days of folding...it's stronger than diamonds.

I'm pissed and about to call this BS quits.

Sorry Franken, I don't know a thing about Linux yet or even what FSCK is, so I didn't post there.

I can't say much about the ram situation either since I'm still waiting for my RMA set to get here. Your newest set of ram should have lasted years really, I wonder what's the deal? Good thing you had spares. I heard ram was going to start going back up soon too. I have another set on order.

Hmmm... Between the two of us we've lost 7-8 ram sets I believe. Ram Manufacturers need to make their ram able to run 24/7 full time... It's pathetic...
