I meant to ask that earlier when you said you were running 4 instances. You want Prime95 Ver. 25.4. Just load it, select max temps and it runs all 4 cores.

how does your 3210 run Taeric? I'm already in-love with mine... I can't believe I was posting at 3.8GHz at stock voltage... I really think that if i can get my vcore to go up ~ 1.35 I can get some amazing things to happen.

Mine is a B3, so it won't run as well as your G0. To be honest, I only tinkered around with it a little in Linux when I first got it, and it's been folding ever since. I've been wanting to install XP on it to have the full slate of testing/stressing/monitoring software and really max it out, but I just haven't had the time. I'm hoping to move the Linux installation over to a flash drive soon, and then I can fiddle with XP.

My two G0s have been great. One is at 3.4 GHz and the other at 3.3 GHz, and both were well below the thermal specs during the summer. They've been running very cool recently (like 45°C full load), and I'm looking forward to pushing them harder.

My next (and last) folding milestone is coming up in a few days, and after that I'll be less sensitive about taking my systems down for additional tweaking.

That's a sweet chip Cowboy. I will be interested to see what frame times you get with it.

So I have to ask Taeric, why do you say your last milestone? My G0's run between 3.4Ghz (Cheap HS) and 3.6Ghz. I keep them ~60c which I figure is running in the "Yellow zone" up to 65c. I have one that runs in the mid 50's at 3.6Ghz so I may try a little more with that one soon. It's really amazing to hit these speeds on air, I'm lovin it!

I'll hit other numerical milestones over the years, but there won't be anywhere for me to go but down on our team after the next few days. I don't have any upgrade plans (barring winning the lottery), and I don't have the horsepower to hold the top spot for more than a few months. I posted way back when I took the montly team lead with around 4k ppd that I'd hate to lose the top spot due to technical issues on my end but would be happy to see someone step up and knock me off. I managed to keep ahead of the crowd for a while now, but I'm pretty much capped with my current gear. I think I can squeeze as much as another 20-25% out of my current gear, especially once I get my VMWare/SMP issues worked out on my sig rig. Beyond that, I'll enjoy my time in the top spot and will tip my hat to those who fly by me down the road.

Setting goals and reaching them is healthy and fun. Without a #1, there would be no goal and things would get boring. So maybe look at it as a healthy change of position.

With all of the changes in the past year, each rig for a lot of us has doubled twice from 1 to 2 to 4 cores. And just look at the change in PPD from a year ago! In the next year, we might see systems do the same thing with 2 or more processor boards. They need to figure out the heat situation soon, it's pretty hot in my room right now! Talk about a global warming issue.

I have wondered if Stanford didn't have a point and team system set up, would I still be happy with my X2-3800 saving me more money than having Geico? Yeah I probably would be, but it's fun and hopefully doing a lot of good. Those Stanford guys are pretty smart.

Change is a constant in life, you better believe it! Live to fight another day. There's a bunch more, but that's all I can think of right now.

Hi taeric,

Well said:

<"I'll enjoy my time in the top spot and will tip my hat to those who fly by me down the road.">

I think WickedPixie will be doing that and who knows, maybe another Knitelife in the future.... OCN has been cranking out some serious points over the past few weeks... A lot of that is due, in part, to you!

So I tip my hat to you!

I don't really know how I'm going to feel passing QMopar.... He and you are such icons. My goal was 2 million by years end. I never thought that would mean passing Q at the same time.

Thanks again for all you do! :-)
