But yeah we are getting squashed I think it's because of the start of our month I believe that next month we'll be able to keep up. BTW when you get that conroe what are you gonna do with the 950? are you gonna have a #2 rig folding for Team_owners? or are you jsut gonna sell it off?
***T flows downhill...My 950 will go into my gaming rig. My 920 from my gaming rig will replace the 805D from my GF's sons computer.

So, I'll have a spare 805D...throw it into a junker mini-itx and fold? I have a spare mobo and some old DDR2 ram.

EDIT: What are you running on your folding rig?

What am I running on my folding rig? well if you mean Hardware it's everything in my system specs below, if you mean programs... everything... but I fold 24/7 the only time folding gets shut off is for OC'ing or rebooting. I game while Folding I do everything with folding running in the back ground.

Ok, my Conroe E6600 is on order from Newegg. From what I've read, with my water cooling setup, P5B deluxe, and my DDR21000 ram, I should be able to OC that sucker to nearly 4GHZ. SHOULD be a good 70-80% increase in speed over the 950D.

That, and the fact that we lost almost 5 days of folding this month...we should be a terror again next month. I'll get everything installed before next month to ensure a clean start.

well i was tring to go faster but the new chip i replace with my slowest machine with, i went to OC and i maxed out the motherboard settings so I can't go any higher with it. (its an ASUS P4S8X-MX) so i need another motherboard to go faster with that. so if anyone has a 478 board that will work well with a 2.6C 800FSB i need one. (but not too expensive)

I work at Ford Motor and if you read the papers lately there doing alot of cutbacks so i'm kinda waiting to everything shakes out with my job before i make any big jumps with a all new computer to keep up with you guys.

But I'm tring to put out as many WU as these two machines can do. in the next 10hours i should have another 753 points between the two also. 153 in about 10 minutes even..

EDIT: I'm only a few hours away from posting my 4 day WU. So, that should give us a good boost.

I'll tow the line for you till you can get something faster . It's just a game anyway. It sound's like you have more serious tings to worry about ATM anyway.

what is the Work Unit Name thats taking so long? i'm curious to see how many points it is for your machine to take that long..
you can see about it here http://vspx27.stanford.edu/psummary.html you prob already know that site its cool to see what it is their actually tring to work on to cure.

i've been getting nonstop 153 point amber cores with my slower maching and i just got another. but the faster one has been getting the 600 pointers lately so i guess i can complain because that does the best PPD on that machine.

If I'm not mistaken...it's a GROMAC Tryptophan type. That would make it 600 point. Kind of lame...4 days for a 600 pointer????

Hello everyone, team TOFTOF is flying waay ahead. I can't help but to feel like i am not doing as much as you would expect me to. Even if i leave my computer idle for longer (my friends used whole core for a week) i might be able to crank out 2500 points per week but thats the most my computer can put out. What are some good ways to increase the ppd?

My temperature is already running high (50 on load on hot day, 43 during the night). I think it could be my AS5 problem but i don't have time to remount the heatsink, my midterm is very near. And i don't want to screw up my computer, where everything i do practically involves computer.

I am running 2610Mhz (290x9) on 165 CCBBE 0510.. DMPW (not sure but looked something like that)
corsair XMS 3200 ( 2.5-3-3-6 at 195Mhz or so ) this ram wouldn't go over 210 Mhz at 3-3-3-8 at 2.9V. Corsairs don't overclock much .

CPU speed and ram is limited, are there any other ways to improve folding speed? I also run a lot of memory (programs) but they rarely use the CPU power. maybe that brings down the performace? i only get 210~220 ppd in the gromac 153 point ones.

GAHHH i just build this rig and i feel already so behind.

But we are the only team where all 4 people on the team have more than 2000 points =) *cheers*
