I wonder if upping the voltage on the NB will actually result in faster performance?

My computer is running extremely hot... So during the HOT part of the day (few hours) i am only going to run one core... computer shuts down on me sometimes because i set the shut down temp at (60C). I can see the BT straining itself...

I hope this doesn't severely affect our points... When the weather cools down a bit.. hopefully by next week and definitely by next month. i will be able to run both cores 24/7 again.

This room has no ventilation!!! and its burning hot inside!!!

Sorry guys..

Edit:

Oh i just had an idea, Franken do you want to run 3 cores? Now that u have your conroe and 940 rigs running, you can probably pump a lot more points than my rig. I was just wondering, because my core gets quiet hot. Just a suggestion, maybe we can work something out.

Sure, I can run one core on my 950 gaming rig until you can run both cores again. Taeric should know what we are doing though. I'm not sure how to make that kind of transition without messing up the scores. Cowboy? Any ideas?

On each Mobo I overclocked, I bumped it up 1/10th of a volt. I'm just wondering if the Mobo is "holding back" if the voltage is too low...or if the MoBo would just shut down?

Well, i am half way into both WU, i should be able to finish them by 26th. Then we can work something out.. When the winter chill hits, it should be all fine.. How is your weather? berkeley is hitting 80s, and 90s inside the room (my roommates are folding for me too, i think thats why it is so hot).

We need to sort this out by end of this month, so we can restore the crown next month. =)

We will do this next month.. Seems like it will be hard to catch up to TOFTOF this month. Next month, i will run on one core, Franken can run on 3. I think that is the most effective way to do it. I don't know which of Franken's rig will dual fold, but that is his decision. I will try to put up as much point as possible (since the heat wave is the going away for now) then we will switch gear towards that plan.

Is big WU more effective? i think the 153 point ones averages out 200ppd but the 400 point ones get only 150 ppd.. Maybe i should take off that -advmethod to get more smaller ones.. What do you think?

Advmethods give you a point bonus above the normal point scale. I always leave mine running in that mode.
