School starts tuesday~ and hopefully we can win this month.

Taeric~ So in summary.

Franken will run 3 cores from now
and I will run 1 core.

I didn't just leave this team, i was away for winter break

Now lets do this!!
My gaming rig seems stable doing 24hour folding on one rig. So, I'm cool with that.

Nice rigs Franken

I really love the Triplehead, 3 monitor setup. Did you have to extend your desk for that?

I'm too chicken to try water cooling (Something about electricity and water...). It does look impressive though.

No extension necessary. The TripleHead2Go (TH2G I guess ) sends a PnP message to my GPU's that they are connected to a single 3840x1024 widescreen monitor.

Seriously...you should see games like FEAR in widescreen mode. It's FREAKIN HAIRY!

With water cooling, the trick is to use distilled water. The ionized disolved solids are what conduct electricity (salts metals minerals etc.). Pure water has no ability to conduct energy at low voltages. So, it's really safe. It can be messy though and removing air from the lines can be a royal pain at times.

Sounds awesome! Does that give you like a 180 degree view? I almost bought Fear the other day but didn't. How good is that game and what does it compare to?

That makes sense about the distilled water. Where I used to work, we had a Reverse Osmosis treatment system which basically creates distilled water. The downside is that PURE water is very corrosive. After 10 years it ate through all the water pipes it flowed through. The minerals in tap water actually protect pipes from erosion. Do you ever find rust forming on the chips, or do you add some kind of rust inhibitor? And how much better does WC work compared to air? Hopefully that's not too many questions.

The FOV (field of view) is like 120 degrees I think. FEAR is one of the best action/horror games I've ever played. In some scenes, it's downright shocking.

Yeah I suppose with a lack of charged matter in the water, it would readily suck the atoms off the walls of the metal pipes. That's why some systems use an active sacrificial zinc electrodes to self destruct and save the iron.

Since all of the water cooling system is either a polymer or copper, I guess the only danger comes from corroding the copper. But, I use anti-corrosive additives to put a stop to that. Same junk that goes into car radiators.

OOhhh noooooozz, Franken and his master piece..

http://www.overclock.net/gallery/sho...o=2692&cat=500

Thats my monitors and.. desktop, and you see the subwoofer..

textbooks..

My desktop is put right next to the window to get the cold air in when it is overheating.. the side panel is open and put as a wind blocker because it gets real cold here... that can prevent cold air blowing directly at my face..

Anyway, I took this picture now because i got a phone with decent resolution, spent about 300 on this phone alone >< It comes with 415MHz processor.

=D school starts tuesday~ yay

Thanks for the info

WC doesn't sound too bad now.

Fear, sounds like I need this game. I think it has a new expansion pak too.

Franken that looks great..
well i haven't been around in a while but i thought i'd stop in to say Hi and I'm still around. work has been real busy.... but anyway i came across a new mother board from a friend ready for the core 2 duo chip swap.. just need the chip now but maybe by the end of the month i'll get one.. the board is not much of an overclocking board but it will go a little i hope. but until then both computers have been plugging away nicely..
