Screen becomes distorted when raising frequency

Thread Starter
I have an older 754 ClawHammer 3700+ when I attempt to raise the frequency to 225 my screen will become extremely distorted during the system driver load phase of windows xp startup. I bumped the voltage up as high as it would go and still get the same results. I have no changed any setting on my ram. Any suggestions? I have heard the 3700+ would overclock to 2.72 relatively easy.

I'm sure that the voltage isn't an issue, so don't raise it too much cause you can toast your CPU, after all, the summer is coming and the temps go up.
Try lowering the freq of the ram, put it on DDR333, and lower the HT multi to 4x. Maybe someone else has other ideas, I never had this problem while OCing
