I just wanted to confirm that I have Hybrid physX working with the newest ATI & NVIDIA drivers for Windows 7 64bit, as of 3/6/2011:
-Catalyst 11.2 w/newest profiles
-NVIDIA 266.58 (includeds physX 9.10.0514)
-GenL Hybird PhysX Mod 1.04f
Hardware tested on:
- Sapphire HD5870 2GB Eyefinity Edition [primary renderer]
- XFX 9800GTX Black Edition [hybird physX]
Steps I followed:
-Uninstall ALL drivers
-Boot into safe-mode & run Driver Sweeper & CCleaner 2+ times
**Prior to restart I used gpedit.msc to stop Windows from automatically installing standard Windows drivers for my Nvidia GPU**
-Boot into Windows normally and install the newest ATI drivers
**You will need to disable driver installation blocking in gpedit.msc to be able to install any drivers; after the installation enable it again so that you can reboot and avoid autoamatic driver installation again**
-Restart and boot into Windows normally; disable driver installation blocking for the last time and then install the newest Nvidia drivers (266.58 at the present time is the newest, and also includes the newest installation of physX)... Restart again if prompted.
-Finally, run the Hybird PhysX Mod 1.04ff in administrative mode to patch the physX files
-You can check to see if physX is ticked in GPU-Z, and also test it is working properly with Fluidmark... (make sure to delete/backup any physX files in the Fluidmark program folder, or else it will force CPU physX; this goes the same for most games that use physX)
