I just checked up on Corsair's 8000UL RAM sticks.... are they supposed to be any good ?

I dont want to spend a lot on a memory stick if i know i cannot make full use of it. Since i can only overclock my CPU core upto 245MHz, im wondering what would be the best and suitable RAM for my system.

Thanks

ill look

so it would be some ddr2-800 since your mobo's a P5WD2-Premium

however all of the 2x1gb sets are pretty pricey, but here are some good suggestions:

I know that the current Rivatuner does not support 7900gtx yet, which is why my card is not detected in the program.

What would be the best program to use for overclocking my 7900 GTX ?

The standard Nvidia Tweak wont let me overclock past the test phase, but im pretty sure i can boost it up more. Theres no way of skipping the test section.

I used to own an ATI card and ATI TOOLS worked perfectly without doing any tests first. I wonder if there is any program like that.

Also i heard that you there is a way to enable HDR in Far Cry ? Does anyone know how ?

I tried disabling the internet test option with a tick next to it, but when i change the clock settings it tells me that i cannot apply the changes until i test it out first.

Im still getting the test failed message, how do i get rid of that in Rivatuner ?

Toggle the console and type 'r_hdrrendering X', where X is an integer between 1 and 11 - there are 11 different HDR effects in Far Cry. I think 7 is the best. Test them all.

Someone got a 7900GT upto 800Mhz core using a massive copper heatsink with a 120mm fan... i'll try and find a link for it.

STICKY OR SOMETHING ON THIS PLZ -> http://www.vr-zone.com/?i=3437&s=2

The 7900GT IS a 7900GTX, the only difference is it comes with a smaller stock HS and is UNDERVOLTED. With a 'simple' voltmod and some aftermarket cooling, you can have 7900GTX performance! (Althought with only 256 memory instead of 512, but hey, you can complain about a 80% OC!)

link for the volt mod -> http://sg.vr-zone.com/?i=3330&s=2

This link also has a volt mod for the 7600 and the 7900GTX.

I know i WONT be trying this on my 7900GTX. Ill be damed if i risk a $1000 piece of hardware for a bit of performance. It'l prolly be bottlenecked anyway.
