Need a recommendation on good ram :)

Thread Starter
I just ordered 2g (4 x 512) of Crucial Ballistix Tracer (have the neat little led's) pc4000 ddr500 memory. Well.........sigh..........I have been having random computer crashes adn couldn not figure it out. Somebody told me to run memtest and I did. Well I got a ton of errors.

To say the least, I am not impressed with Crucial and am looking to go a different way. I have in the past had corsair and loved them. No problems at all. I would go with their Pro series as they have led's too, but they are too tall and my cpu fan interferes with installing them.

Can anybody recommend a nice set of ram with the specs (ddr500 pc4000, etc.... ) for my system?

Thanks!

thanks for the feedback on the geil 2 A N!

Soloz, thanks for the feedback. I tried testing them each individually and didn't seem to get any error on memtest. I also tried them in pairs and got tons of errors.

crucial is exchanging all 4 modules for me so hopefully that will take care of it. Could the motherboard be the culprit by chance?

thanks!
