Dare I say a breath of fresh air.

There are so many Forums where anything goes and the first thing that tends to go is courtesy.

A refreshing approach.

I really couldn't agree more. It's a refreshing change to have the emphasis firmly on quality of content.

Can I say "awesome"? I long for some reasoned, intelligent discussion. OCN has some great staff here, and I think this is exactly what OCN needs.

Thanks, Chipp; as always, you're amazing!

As a newer member, I'm quite relieved to see initiative taken for the quality of content. Being a member of several forums, it's hard wading through such low content posts to find ones that are actually worthwhile to read or contribute to the original posts. Here, really it's been hit or miss from what I've seen.

Most threads that I read tend to flow pretty well and everyone is very knowledgeable and happily willing to contribute as much as possible. Other threads (mostly the opinion based ones ie. "your favorite..." "what's the best..." threads) tend to be more of who can namedrop something the most and really don't add any sort of discussion or contribution, many times leading to pointless arguments with people saying their opinion is indeed fact.

I believe online communities can flourish more with justice that tends to be a little more strict than most. If users can't contribute in a way that is helpful to the website, simply voicing their opinions without reason, why have them around? I'm not saying it's bad to voice what you think, but a lot of times I'm seeing so many people simply say how they feel and nothing to back it up.

I respect any constructive criticism with what I've brought up, but being no stranger to online communities I felt like saying something!
