transfering microsoft office too disk

I just got a prebuilt compaq, and windows microsoft office came preinstalled, i want too put it onto my other rig, is there any way too do this? I am not violating any laws am I? since it will be my own computer.

Well if you are making a geneal backup for your self and youown the rights to it ( In other words you bought the computer ) then its fine.

now that we got the legal stuff out of the way, how do i do this? It is comming from a compaq onto a dell (my work computer), how do i make the disk? and can i use a dvd-r too put it on, since the compaq has a dvdwriter?

Yes you can put it on a DVDr all you have to do is find the office files and shove them onto the DVD.
