Koolance & FrozenCPU Debacle - Page 4

I've purchased quite a bit from FrozenCPU and have not had any issues. The only thing I dislike about them is the standardized shipping rates. One bottle of coolant should not be $10 shipping. Or one tiny fan...

Then again I always try my best to build rapport with my vendors and I resist the urge to cop an attitude the minute something irks me.
It's funny, the vast majority of the time I hear customer service "horror stories", they always start with an email from a disgruntled customer, who DEMANDS a certain resolution.

Usually asking works much better.

I'm not necessarily commenting on the specific transaction in this thread, just as a generality.

Asked quiet nicely for some help, and to be honest was told sure no problem then they went back and said no, and got belligerent w/me......... Thats where they lost me for good.

All the vendors rather suck at varying degrees. Sidewinder, sheesh won't go there now. The only one whose been stand up with me has been Jab-tech.

What's up with Koolance?

Why are they making customers deal with their poor product development? They SHOULD have sent ShtSh00ttr a proper block with fixed clearance issues. Otherwise they can't just call it a standard MB block, and describing it has recommending using their block is not really the truth imo.

hmm I just now read this after buying $600 worth of stuff from frozenpc. Their prices were some of the highest. I expect the best service from one of the highest priced sellers. I actually messed up my order and called them as soon as they opened the following morning and they added the 3 missing pieces to my order without a problem. Thats more than newegg can ever vouch to do.

Once the parts arrive I guess I will have more to say

I'm just surprised at the design of the koolance block for the SR2, I know it's hard to design a block to compliment everything on the market, but the XT has been out for a while and from what I understand, it's pretty much an upgrade to the GTZ before that..

Based on the picture clearance, what they designed that block around? Reference Intel Coolers?

wow.. Sorry to hear this, Koolance should have rectified the problem on their end, not give you the run around.. assuming it's their authorized distributor..

I mean.. it's just washers ffs... slap some stamps on a envelope and mail it to you, problem solved.

After that road bump, I've been ordering from Gary and its been smooth sailing. I guess my issue was a manufacturing defect and its harder for the smaller shops to handle all the rma(s) quickly. So, in the end I forgave and forgot and I continue to buy from swc.

Its really just random bad luck imo. But I will say that a lot of the bigger sites need to brush up on their customer service.
