The only concern I would have is the power supply. You would be better off
with a Seasonic or other brand name . Cheap power supplies cause alot of unnecessary problems.

I definately agree! Why get a 7800GT when you can get a 7900GT for about the same price. I wouldn't suggest getting a DFI board unless you are going to mess around with a bunch of settings and overclock. DFI boards aren't for noobs. As the other guy said, you might need a better name brand power supply down the road, but you just never know. Some people just have better luck then others.

I'd also say, try and get 2 gigs of memory. It is becoming the standard for newer computers. You can get a really nice set of 2 X 1 GB memory for like $150. That price might include a rebate. It's up to you though. You could always get another set of your G. Skillz 2 X 512MB later. Good luck!

The reason I'm not getting a 7900gt for him is that because then it would bottleneck the cpu too much because he is not overclocking.... I believe any motherboard is fine if you are not overclocking which he is not.....If I choose to get him 2 gbs then I will have to lower something else.... what can you suggest ......anybody eles...???? He is already about 50$ over budget
