What are you clocked at on your 930 ? I was running 4.0 for awhile when I first joined the competition but my temps were a little higher than I liked for 24/7 so I backed off to my 3.8 sweet spot. Leaving points on the table doing that but hopefully I've made up for it a bit by being consistent. Hoping Santa brings me a new CPU cooler.
Yeah, it will be probably 3 or 4 days I think.. Give or take lol.

Right now I'm at 4.34, 21X207.. It's warming up this week and I'm going out of the country starting next monday for a week so I'm going to have to drop it back down since I can't babysit from Mexico The H70 is keeping it just over 70`c with room temps usually about 19`c. Of course, I want moar! So I've been prototyping a custom loop that hopefully I'll be running it on early in the new year. I found running winAFC, and Langouste decoupler made quite a significant improvement, along with working on the OC I have been testing different methods for improving the performance through software.. I would recommend you look into those If you need a hand setting either up just let me know. I think next step will be trying out a stripped down win7 install and see how much overhead I can clear off.

edit... just checked my HFM online, might as well show off That's the highest PPD I've ever seen for my 930.. Digigami likes P6900

Just wanna let you know that my heatsink is still very warped and even after a couple sheets of sandpaper im still not all the thru the 3 layers of metals..

It goes Gold -> Nickel-> Copper...
So im stuck on the nickel plating still, shouldn't take me too long to take the damn thing off and make my Water block flat again

Anyways, im soooo glad you guys actually posted back here!
Taking off the gold and Nickel ?!? You probably paid extra for the gold plated heatsink too and now your sanding it off. How did you warp the heatsink anyway ? Probably trying to fold at 5GHz or something You know we're going to be expecting 1GHz folding on that Fermi when you start up again to make up for lost time/PPD don't ya !!

I'll have to check into winAFC and the decoupler. Maybe I can squeeze out a few more PPD before next month. Maybe next month we can get up to 4 folders putting out PPD for the team. Look at it this way though, We have had only 3 folders all month and we're still along ways ahead of them darned Fluffy Pink Ninja's.

Wow Ski... that looks like it got way too hot at some point in time.

Sizzle.. yes, for bigadv the winAFC knocked about 45 seconds off TPF set at high priority. Might not work so well if your folding GPU on the same rig although. The decoupler doesn't necessarily improve your ppd, but allows you to start folding the next workunit instead of waiting for the upload to finish, so overall it improves your efficiency. Defiantly do it! Rumors are the v7 client will have that capability built in, so I was going to do a quick guide on Langouste for win 7 but it will just be irrelevant within a moth or so, so not really any point.

Any idea how hot the chip got? Is it still alright? How long had your loop been together and running to get that dirty?

and the loop had been up since august.

It was dirty because my Rad was used with coloring before i bought it :/
