Nice PPD figures your showing there sizzzle, looks like you should be strong in cat 2.
My 2600k is still fluctuating up and down, and I lost a bigadv while I was messing around with it, only 5 % in so not much to complain about. My 930 just dumped one at 96%
I don't know if it's the new motherboard, or something else but I am getting the impression my overclocks aren't as stable under Ubuntu as they were under Win. I went to exchange my P8P67 under the recall and they said I could upgrade and pay the difference, and it just so happened I got a bonus cheque that day
Now I'm rocking the ROG Maximus IV Extreme
I still need to mess around more. @ 4.9Ghz based on my lowest TPF on a 6901 i'm just over 60K PPD now, compared to 49K under Win7. The 930 has improved from 39K to 45K also, so despite a few struggles it seems the linux client is defiantly the way to go.
Phazer, I can certainly try to help you out, but if temps are of concern I might suggest you look at a better cooler soon. What kind of temps are you seeing?
Secondly, which bios version are you running? When I first got going with my 2600k the bios it shipped with honestly was crap. It was fine for running at stock + 1ghz, but much more then that it sucked. Once I upgraded to the new beta bios things really improved.. Also, the turbo v utility is junk, only got me up to 4.4Ghz. Don't both with bclock tuning, just leave it at 100, anything other and your asking for instability, just play with multi and vcore.
I'm just on my way out for the afternoon, so Phazer if you want PM me your bios settings and I'll see if anything stands out..
