Yeah, i was just saying. Its not like you havent spent a lot more than your 2 cents in this thread. maybe you should step down from your high horse for a second and realise that just cuz you are so post modern and use apple that you dont own the world.

TBH i dont ,mind terribly either way. It is strange to me that they would use windows on a mac, but its all in the air these days anyway. Im not a huge fan of windows but i need to be able to play games well, because this is a gaming machine. I know Unix systems are more efficient, but windows has it where it needs to be in terms of compatibility.
Seems to me that allowing people to have windows on an OSX box means that they are giving up on osx, or at least accepting that it has some bad flaws?

Don't blame Apple, it's not cause he has or likes Macs. It's because of who he is. :

You might want to elaborate on that for clarity...

I have watched this thread for a while and like in any group there are all kinds. Some here have gotten a little defensive, so attacks happen. Some Mac users get a little touchy always defending their computer and OS of choice. I'm used to it, plus I rage on my PC's... so I don't even trip.

In a place like here, a little tolerance and humor goes a long ways.

With this news, the next time I buy a computer solely for the sake of productivity, I might consider buying a Mac (which is an Apple Macintosh computer). I mean, I'd much rather prefer Mac OS X on PC, but essentially it's the same thing.

But that probably won't happen because I play games and I don't like to be restricted from playing my games in any way.

With Vista and Bios changes that come with it, ya never know if the next OSX will work on PC boxes.
It would be cool.

A chat with my buddy about this:

Loz Random says:
imagine the mess you'd get when you combine macs' crashes with windows' crashes
|D&C| Leepee! says:
lol
Loz Random says:
then add the completely untuned nature of a windows system
Loz Random says:
and the incompatability of a mac one
|D&C| Leepee! says:
UNIXed our OS!
Loz Random says:
and the world of computing as we know it would be at an end
Loz Random says:
the world would perform an illegal operation
Loz Random says:
and we'd all fall off
|D&C| Leepee! says:
!
|D&C| Leepee! says:
lol
|D&C| Leepee! says:
roflychopper
Loz Random says:
"gravity.exe has performed an illegal operation and must be shut down, we apologise for any inconvinience

Send error report to applesoft?"

lol.

He's a funny guy

The handles on the G5 tower are disgusting--the front grille is tacky. The semitranslucent glossy white look on just about every other Apple product does not appeal to me. Having the Apple logo smeared on everything cheapens the exterior. The fact that so many Mac users I've spoken to say that the only tolerable wintel PC manufacturer is "Alienware" because they have "wicked cool" cases is certainly a (anecdotal, yes; but worth mentioning) testament to my belief.

That being said, my favorite elements of design--being unintrusive, clean, minimal, and functional--are expressed in Lian Li's PC-71. It's a shame that their newer case designs seem to mimic those of Apple. :[
