you may need to set both the ram speed AND timings to manual. My asus mobo is the same way, if one is on auto it will just mess everything up.

try to loosen the timings a bit first and add a bit more voltage to the ddr. I have valueram that is able to do the extra 10 mhz with a voltage boost

Try not to oc too much, as in above 2.8ghz.
Your power supply might not hold up.
Put your cpu multiplier to 10x
And if you can your ram timmins to 166.
also if you are new to Overclocking if your ram is O.Cd too much your pc may not boot up.Dont panick.
You'll see a small battery take that out and it will reset your Cmos.

there should be an option in your bios, i dnt have that particular mobo so i cant say for sure where it is, but it should be somethink like "sata lock" or "lock sata" anythink like that , have a look in your bios n check back n we can take it from there oh your not using a raid pci card to use your hard drive ?

Can you be a bit more specific about what you mean by hard disk not booting? What may be happening is that your RAM is not capable of being run at 225 mhz, thus crashing your system when you boot it up. Try setting a divider on the RAM and then continue pushing the fsb up. If you can do that then it shows that your RAM cannot run faster than 220 mhz. To setup a divider, find the menu in BIOS for your RAM settings and look for something like speeds (ie. DDR266, DDR333, DDR400) or fractions (ie. 3/4, 5/6, etc.). Go with something slower so that your RAM will run slower than the fsb like DDR333 or 3/4.

See if this works. Good luck!

Look in bios under integrated periferals and then under chipset ide devices
you will see hdd delay set that to 1 or 2 that will delay hdd some and might allow it to boot.

i didn even see this thread be4 lol...but just clear your cmos if you run into problems and start over..trial/and error..when you run the divider like
Cheetos316 has explained you will be able to push your cpu farther..i dont think your systems that power hungry but it might if you try to push it tooo far..just be safe good luck
