Auzentech rma? - Page 3

I am bumping this thread as a new forum member just to confirm how awful Auzentech technical support is.

Here's my story: I sent an email over two months ago for an i.Fuzen HP-1 iPhone case but, in the meantime, did not yet receive a reply with repeated attempts. Luckily, I had a SquareTrade warranty upon purchase and so they are having me contact the BBB. Even now, I am in the process of resending an ultimatum email. If they do not respond to this, there could be a court case between them and SquareTrade.

Oh, and if anyone on the internet is searching Auzentech with the express interest of purchasing one of their products, take note of their F rating on the Better Business Bureau and decide accordingly ( http://www.bbb.org/sanjose/business-reviews/audio-visual-equipment-dealers/auzentech-in-san-jose-ca-231319 ).

Holy crap! I had no idea they had that kind of a rating. Someone needs to clean house over there.

I used to work with Auzentech when I worked for a PC manufacturer doing tech support.
Auzentech's president, Stephane Bae, e-mailed asking if I wanted to try out some of their new products.
I was behind the scenes guy, testing third party products with my company's machines and he said he would get back to me ASAP with any compatibility resolutions . He always did. I told him several times that all of the publicly listed numbers were disconnected. He assured me it would be fixed "soon." I told him of their support forums. He said they were "making positive changes soon........" He gave me and other co-workers his e-mail, assuring us that he would get our questions to the proper branches and personnel.

He may be surprised to get a letter from an end user, but he will give you a proper email contacts or working phone numbers. I contacted him originally because I found his email on Auzentech's older press releases . He is located overseas, so account for the time difference of Asia vs everywhere else.

That is the big man, the kahuna himself Stephane Bae. He answered my e-mail asking if I wanted to try out some of their new products. That makes me think even less of the company.

I've RMA'd 2 cards and had a great experience both time. A HD theater card and a forte about a year ago. Went smooth and couldn't be happier. They took a bit long on the Forte and sent me a HD card as well because of the extras time. I was very happy with my experience.

You had two Auzentech cards die, and you couldn't be happier? rolleyes.gif

The X-Meridian 2G I had was a great card and it actually gamed decently in some and great in other games. The company just shot itself in the foot by continuing to release new products without supporting them.

My 2G died after eight months of flawless operation.

The Forte used to die because it got too hot, but they've added a heatsink to the offending chip in later revisions. Shouldn't happen nearly as much today.

Also, just to be clear, Valve also has an F rating from the BBB: http://www.bbb.org/western-washington/business-reviews/computer-software-publishers-and-developers/valve-corporation-in-bellevue-wa-27030704 It's not always an accurate way to measure things. But as another factor, it can definitely be telling.

Still, I loved my Auzentech card but my HT | Omega is awesome. And their support has been much better (though I haven't needed it much at all tongue.gif).
