"Dear William,

We would recommend a bit of heat. If you cannot get it off cleanly, we would recommend obtaining another set. "

Thats sucks and all, but they did hook me up w/ a TT replacment parts site that i never knew existed. You can apparently purchase just the H clips for 8 bucks!

Thankyou TT, no wonder i love you so.

Just an update: I did successfully get the plate off the board. Most of the foam stayed, but could be rubbed off i believe. I hit it with a hairdryer for a few minutes, till it was hot to the touch. I took a utility knife and slid the blade between the metal plate and the kevlar piece, got a few fingernails under it, then slid the knife down to the other end and popped it off. W/o heat it would be very difficult if not impossible w/o damage.

That's what I did, except I used a screwdriver. Even then not all of it came off. The thing is that while I was doing it I heard a loud cracking sound coming from the MOBO; maybe I damaged it? No problems so far, so I guess everything is fine.
