Overclock Freeze

Thread Starter
I read all the stuff before signing up in the forums, I used Coolbits 2 with the latest drivers from nVIDIA. I uped the Core 5 at a time and the Memory 5 at a time I scanned for artifacts and I clicked apply then it just froze. I dont think anyone brung a thread about this but I hope to be the first one. If anyone knows how to resolve this issue please help.

sometimes even though you system thinks your card is stable at that speed it doesnt mean it is. Did you test the settings every time. Even if you did it ownt matter because it might still freeze.

I see that your card was already oc'ed when you bought it. I have heard that Pre overclocked cards can give trouble when trying to overclock them yourself becuase its already set to the optimal frequincy, so you may be out of luck.

but this may not relate to your specific card so dont give up

Try Omega drivers, the factory drivers lack.

I dont like using 3rd party drivers last time I download Omega Drivers for my 5500 it had lowered my performance instead of improvements being done.

Not anymore, the omegas arent good at all for nvidia. Omega's are for ATI cards. What drivers are you using? Get the newest forceware drivers off of the nvidia site. Also, how are you scanning for artifacts using coolbits? You mean, it wont pass the test?

I did have a 9250 before when I was a little kid playing some games, but then I heard that card wont handle some of the new games so then I switched to a 5500, but back to the subject what will resolve the issue?
