Sry going with intel.

Thanks tempest didnt realize that board was incompatible. The asus board seems great too. How does the i5 chip you picked out compare to an i7 950. its only 250 at microcenter. So is dropping an extra 60 worth it?

For a case i dont really care if it has a side panel or doesnt. i just want something thats spacey and has good cable management. the antec 920 are good too.
Can you suggest me some ram for 6gb? Is it even necessary to have 6gb of ram? I know 8 is ridiculous and 4 should be the minimum.

See for your self:
http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/109?vs=100

This is Stock i5 750 vs stock i7 950. As you can see, there's a marginal difference between the two in gaming even though the 750 is clocked 400mhz less. The difference is only like 2-3 FPS. Not worth it in the slightest bit IMO.

Also, All I use my sig rig for is gaming, and while I can't run metro 2033 @ 1080p maxed out, I can run pretty much everything else. And from personal experience, no matter what I play, nothing uses my full 4gb of ram. The only game that even used a good chunk of ram was Starcraft 2, but even that didn't use 100%. So I would say 4GB is definitely enough.

EDIT: and you say you live near a microcenter... The i5 750 is 150 at microcenter. So the difference between the two procs would actually be $100.

Considering most people still run dual core CPU's, any quad core has a pretty long future ahead of it. Think of it this way;
with a quad core CPU you will be ahead of the curve for probably 1-2 years from today. After quad cores become mainstream, you're cpu will still be good for as long as they are mainstream. I'm willing to bet that you can keep an i5 750 for about 5 years before quads start becoming outdated. and even after they're outdated, you can still use it. People still use Pentium single cores with no problems. But you'll probably upgrade before they become outdated anyway.
