how to use prime 95

Thread Starter
Ok, I downloaded prime 95. But can you tech me how to use it, what settings do I press etc, and how do you start the test?

Also how will I know if my oc is stable or not does it say "your oc is unstable"

Ok, just basic, but open the program, hit options, then go to torture test. Use the blend setting, as it will test your cpu and ram. Let it run for a while to test stability. Good overclocks can do it 24/7, but for a good stability, 8 hours or overnight is usually acceptable.

Double click the red box (with the 2p-1), click the optoins tap, scroll down to torture test and chose what test you would like, Very top test does your CPU, middle does your CPU with a little ram and the bottom does a lot of ram with CPU, or a custom setup.

EDIT:- Bah! beaten again!

Some people say occt(download link is to the left) is good for a quick test, it also works with Speedfan to monitor your temps.

Good luck

ok, i just started prime, chose the last option on the torture test. Isnt anything meant to happen one the screen, like numbers appearing. Or does everything happen in the back ground.
