1-4*C at most is what you will gain once the thermal paste breaks in. Either way such high idle temps. are near to impossible reach with the BT.

you mean maybe the AS5 applied incorrectly? someone say about a pea size then dont spread out, just attache the heatsink on then tight it down. some other said put about one small rice size (uncooked) then spread out really thin layer then attach the heatsink on.
I did all that. total about 6 times - took out, clean with alcohol then apply AS5, put it back ...

The fan that comes with the BT i believe runs at 1300 rpm's, thats why its so quiet. if you want lower temps, put on a higher flow fansuch as a TT thunderblade, and lapp the surface of it. this should drop temps about another 6-8c load, all for only about $10-$15.

thanks for a link,
currently my case has 4 fans (120mm x3 and 1 x80mm)
the one 80mmm on to case suck the air inside case out
one 120mm from a front as an intake, one on side blow the air inside, one on the back as an exhaust.

Sounds like you have good airflow, must be the AS5 isn't applied quite right. Take your time to spread it as thin as you can over the CPU, you will be suprised at how well it can cover with just a tiny amount. I use a toothpick to spread it.

i dont spread as5 at all, i put a small drop in the middle of cpu and the attach the heatsink, works perfect for me every time!

I looked at your profile and both our temps and clock frequencies are almost exactly the same too, so both methods must be just as good.
