ASRocK 939NF4G-SATA2 Panel connector?

Thread Starter
Alright, I'm doing a build with an ASRock 939NF4G-SATA2 mATX, Opteron 146, and Lian-Li PC-7B. I've got it almost all the way finished, but I'm having problems with the panel connector. There's not enough room to fit all the connectors from the case into the connector on the mobo, and when I use the switch from my current rig, it won't start at all. However, I've tested the PSU and switch, as well as the RAM, and all are working. Can anyone help?

Here's a picture of the motherboard, the panel connector is in the bottom left hand corner.

It is a problem with your power LED connection, right? Hope the attached image helps.

okay, so I have to move the wire from slot 1 to slot 2?

If you want your computer to turn on, yep.

Just make sure you push down the prongs so you do not rip the wire out as it will not be secure in the connector if you do.

Alright, thanks for the help. Everything was going great, then I get stumped by the front panel. xD Guess I don't have as much PC knowledge/skill as I thought I did.

No worries man. I had to investigate it myself when I was setting up my ASRock 939 Dual-SATA system. Lord knows their manual could use a lot of help. Glad to see you are up and running.

Not quite up and running... it's still not turning on. I moved the wire, and inserted them as shown in the manual, but nothing. When I flip the switch on the power supply, the CPU fan twitches, and the floppy drive light flashes very briefly, but nothing happens when I push the button.

Grrr... I've never had a problem like this.

A few things to ckeck or confirm
Is your PS a 24 pin?
Do you have the 24 pin and all other necessary power to MB connectors installed?
To by-pass the case ON/OFF PS just tap the two terminals with a screw driver, that eliminates the possibility of a defective switch.
To test the PS or turn it on uninstalled, jump from the green to a black wire to power it up

Turns out the PSU WAS busted, trying to talk to FSP to RMA it. I put my ePower Puma II in it, so far so good.

Grahh... I'm having nothing but problems with this build. So, the system powers up with my PSU in it, but displays nothing to the screen. I can't tell if it's POSTing or not, because I can't see anything!
