Max voltage for fans?

Thread Starter
I was just wondering does anybody know how far over the rated voltage you could go on a fan. So if a had a 24V fan what is the max voltage it could go before it burns out?
Help would be greatly appreciated.

It all depends on the motor that's used in the fan. But how are you going to overvolt a 24V fan when you only have a 12v PSU...

Maybe I'll keep increasing the voltage untill it stops working! LOL

how could you get more than 12V off of 2 PSUs? they share a common ground right?
