xbox 360 Question - Page 3

Ok, Svideo->DVI adapters are crap, you will loose quality...

Why not just get the Microsoft OFFICIAL VGA Adapter for the 360?

You plug that baby into your monitor and set the resolution to something high.. and boom... HD quality on your CRT/LCD monitor.

I assure you, you will get a better sharper picture that little bily's 50 inch plasma across the street.

Standard and High-definition gaming output in the following VGA formats:
640 x 480, 848x480, 1024 x 768, 1280 x 720, 1280 x 768, 1280 x 1024, and 1360 x 768

I'm planning on picking up one of those VGA adaptors at radio shack today (not a priority, I may or may not) and bring my Xbox and hook it up to my 1280x1024 LCD and see what a difference it makes, Xbox supports 720p (1280x720) and I think I have 1 game that is 720p lol.

Yeah, I guess its only for 360, so obviously I didn't get one for my Xbox lol, but I think my Xbox is on the way out, my PS2 died last week and I rented Black for my XBox but its being a dumb POS right now and skipping all over the place, major lag during the full motion video sequences, locking up frequently and some times during FMV sequences the video and audio are totally un synced or sometimes it just randomly showes random clips of video LOL! Kinda amusing but I dont think there's much hope for me to get a 360 from my parents, and I got no money of my own at the moment, gotta convince them to let me buy it with my birthday money (June 22)

Lucky your b-day is after may. Apperently the xbox 360's price is supose to drop $50-$100 dollars at e3 2006 (may 5th). I'm waiting till the price drops, no way in hell am I spending $499 on a console.
