Help - laptop overclocking

Thread Starter
I have oc'd my laptop using clockgen it has a
1.6 Pentium M dothan 725 cpu in it,
so it does the clever stepping thing so normally it runs on batt:
600mhz - 950mhz and 950mhz - 1.6ghz when plugged in.

but now that I have tried oc'ing it when plugged in the speed stays at 1.6ghz
and when running on battery it sticks at 1.28ghz when plugged in I don't mind what it runs at when its plugged in, but on battery at 1.28ghz the battery life is cut quite a lot and its too haot to have on you lap.

So now I am trying to get it back to how it was originally.
I have tried using clockgen to downclock but the lowest it will go is the same as what it is running at the moment.
WHAT CAN I DOO ???

THE FSB is 100mhz when plugged in and 80mhz on battery, and in cpuz the multiplier says that it is 16x when it is normally 4x or sumthin like that.

pls help me.

not sure what your trying to say, usually when you OC you first have to turn on the option "manual" under a tab that shows speeds that your CPU likes. Its usually one of the first options in teh bios. Check the bios for a tab set to MANUAL and see what your other options are
