Oblivion install taking forever and not progressing

Im trying to install Oblivion and I just click next every time (don't change any of the install options except for the I ACCEPT thingy) and when its installing, it seems to take forever when it gets to the DSETUP.dll file which is the first file as well LOL, what's wrong....or is this normal to take a long time to save this file. I should say that this is a downloaded copy of the game....

EDIT/// Now after a few minutes the DSETUP.dll thing goes away and all I see is Installing Oblivion... but the progress bar still does not move.....

How long did this game take to install for you guys?

Ok I found the actual DSETUP.dll file it was trying to install but when I tried to install that on its own (via the direct x installer that was included) that also froze near the end and could not complete, so is there some way I can force it to bypass the DirectX update since I already have 9.0c??

No, just allow it to reinstall DX9.0c. It can't hurt.

Im not saying it would hurt, but that was the part that froze. Anyways I rebooted and now it installs fine (my guess is that some program was running that Oblivion (or Nero installer for that matter) did not like). By the way, I played this game for about half an hour making this officially the RPG which has held my interest for the longest WoW only managed to keep me occupied for all of 3 minutes before I decided it was a crap fest. lol.

You are going to be playing it for quite some time, you best find some food and locate it very close to you, you probabally aren't going to want to leave your PC.
