GTX 460 / 560 / 560 Ti aftermarket (air) cooler (non-reference) list - Page 3

Read your PM, a couple of questions though for the xigmatek bitfrost vd1065.

It does look loke a viable option but what's the clearance from the bottom of the heatsink to the fins? I measured the DVI port sticking out at the PCI bracket and it's more or less 30 mm. Will it hit this?

Too bad the xigmatek site itself doesn't have enough data to show a height restriction drawing.

As for the mod I'm doing, still waiting for my friend to arrive so I can borrow his dremmel. I'll keep you posted once I do the mod.

Will probably use the two ruler and use the feet method you mentioned though.

Dimension of mounting holes of non-reference card = 53mm X 53mm

Feel free to add to the list and I will update it as much as i can on a daily basis.

Please make sure to show pics for confirmation that it does indeed fit or a link to somewhere showing that it does fit.

DISCLAIMER: Make sure you research the dimensions of the cards on the list below (will it fit in your case), since this list only takes into consideration if it will actually mount on the vid card and will have no issues with the PCI bracket.

I know the list right now is very short but hopefully with everyone's input we can get a nice number in here to help us out.

Lastly, as we get a good number of aftermarket coolers on this list, we'll do a test (and poll) as to which is the best in terms of performance!

VGA (768MB) Cooler List: (does not have the second DVI port on the PCI bracket)

1) Gelid Icy Vision (Available worldwide)
2) Prolimatech MK-13(Available worldwide)
3) Scythe Musashi (Available worldwide)
4) Arctic Cooler Accelero Twin Turbo Pro (Available worldwide) (only good for 120w)
5) Deep Cool v4000 (Available in Asia)
6) Thermalright V2 (Available worldwide) (not good for vrms though)
7) Thermalright Spitfire (Available worldwide)

VGA (1GB) Cooler List:

1) Scythe Musashi (Available worldwide)
2) Deep Cool v4000 (Available in Asia)
3) Thermalright V2 (Available worldwide) (not good for vrms though)
4) Thermalright Spitfire (Available worldwide)

After doing much research it seems the musashi had to be modded for it to fit the 1gb non-reference board.
Only Palit and Gainward non reference card mounting holes is 53X53mm
Zotac non reference card mounting holes is same as reference card 51X61mm

I thought Zotac also came out with a non reference card (same as Palit's) together with a reference board model?

I'll update the thread then, thanks Tony!

Kombustor (15 minute test) using auto (personal) fan profile:

[B]Stock Fan Temps - 70~71C
Settings of 850/4200(1050)

V4000 Temps - 58~59C
Settings of 850/4200(1050)

Probably the best bang for the buck solution for me right now since it only cost about $25~$28 dollars (including shipping) where i come from.

Temps inside the case (speedfan) were 25~27C during the tests. I'll post the Kombustor screenshots when i get home later from work!

Hope this helps!

I also sent an email to Xigmatek asking a few questions about the bitfrost and still no response. I'll post their response when I get it.
