Hey hey ...

Just another quick question ...

does FAH GPU Tracker V2 push the GPU more than GPU3 ... cause I have noticed my temps are much higher and they worrying me ... 84 degrees while folding ...

Also ... how long does it take for your PPD to register ... must I finish the WU's first ?? ... or have I set it up wrong ...

All information greatly appreciated

The Tracker uses the same core as the programs you download from Stanford. Your jump in temp is due to the enabling of -advmethosd on your Fermi. The WU that you'll receive are better in the case as they use very little CPU power to process (usually 0-1% vs 0-4% on the normal WUs, at least for me, might not seems like a lot but the way the SMP core works it will slow down more than 4% and the more cards you've got the bigger the difference) and give a PPD boost on higher end cards, like OC'd 560Ti/470 and above. The downside is that they run the GPU hotter (~10C is what I've seen) and can show instability of your OC (not necessary a bad thing). They are also bigger and take longer to process.

The PPD monitoring in the Tracker should show up after a few % have been processed.

This is all correct. If it doesn't show the PPD after 5%, go through the options at the top of the program and find the one that says "Download Project info" (or something like that, I'm not in front of my rig to get the exact wording), this will update the project list in the system allowing it to accurately figure the PPD.

Got the 6903 uploaded, and got the bonus (double checked on Stanford's website). So we should be back on top or at least close after the next update. Also running a GTX 460 in addition to the GTS 450 and 2600k on the native Linux box. HFM is showing PPD of 54k folding a 6901 and two 7622's. I think this setup may be complete as my 24/7 folder. Granted I've been running my main rig hard trying to get as many points as possible and see what I can really do over a month. I may soon have to start playing games on it again though, Skyrim keeps calling my name.

Just saw the update..... SO CLOSE mad.gif

Just for Fun!

OK I threw in an extra GPU client, so i'm now running two on my single 6950 - and it smoothed my gpu load right out. now it's a smooth line in the 99/98% range, instead of the bounce down to 88% - in theory that should pull my ppd up over 9000 (had to). it's also running at 52C now instead of 50C, so there's some evidence of increased load - hopefully actual ppd will reflect theory.

I checked the numbers this morning, and it looks like it'll be just OVER 9000! - sadly it's now whoring TWO cores, but it's running two without complaints - v7, for shame; I want flawlessness. I'll have to see what happens to utilization if I affinity them to a single core, just for kicks.

Temps were down to 49C, but that's because the fire went out last night, and it was extra chilly inside.
